Gesshin-in is a sub-temple of Kodaiji Temple located in the Higashiyama area of Kyoto. Founded in 1616, this temple of the Rinzai School's Kennin-ji branch boasts a history of over 400 years and is also known as a site associated with the Imperial Mausoleum Guards, including Koshitaro Ito, during the late Edo period. It is a place where you can calmly experience Japanese culture while enveloped in the temple's serene atmosphere.
